Privacy Policy — Pit Wall

Last updated: 10 October 2026

Pit Wall is a single-player game. It has no advertising, no in-app purchases, no account of its own, and no analytics. It does use three Google services, and this policy says exactly what each one involves.

This policy covers version 1.3 and later. Versions up to 1.2 made no network requests at all and did not request the INTERNET permission.

What leaves your device

Three things, all optional in the sense that the game is fully playable without any of them:

Google Play Games — your player ID. If you are signed in to Play Games, the game saves your career to Google's Saved Games so it survives a lost or replaced phone. That involves your Play Games player ID, which is an identifier Google issues for this game; it is not your email address or your real name. The save itself contains only game progress: seasons, titles, wins, poles, races run and the badges you have earned. If you are not signed in to Play Games, none of this happens and the game works exactly as before.

Crash reports — Firebase Crashlytics. When the game crashes, a report is sent so the crash can be fixed. It contains the crash itself, the device model and Android version, and a Firebase installation ID — a random identifier for this installation of the app, not for you. Firebase Analytics is switched off, which is enforced in the app's manifest and asserted by an automated test, so no usage or behavioural data is collected.

Play's update check. The app asks Google Play whether a newer version exists, so it can offer an update. Nothing about you is sent.

What stays on your device

Everything else. Your settings, your current season and your career record are stored in the app's own private storage. Other apps cannot read it, and uninstalling removes it.

What we never do

No advertising. No in-app purchases. No usage analytics. No profiling. No selling or sharing of data with anyone. Nothing is used to identify you as a person, and no data is collected for advertising.

Permissions

The complete permission list is pinned by an automated test, so a permission cannot arrive unnoticed through a dependency.

Playing offline

The game runs fully offline. With no network, no Play Games and no Google account, you lose cloud save and crash reporting and nothing else.

Children

No data is collected for advertising or profiling, from anyone. If a child plays while signed in to Play Games, the same Play Games player ID applies as for any player, under Google's own terms for that service.

Deleting your data

Uninstalling removes everything stored on your device. A cloud save can be deleted from the Play Games app, under this game's saved games. Crash reports are held by Google under Firebase's own retention policy and are not linked to an account we hold.
